"I see music as one of the greatest aspects of humanity and part of what makes people what we are.
Our culture is as important as anything else that makes up human activity. Without it we are not at our best.
I have a deep reverence for the past as well a great curiosity and excitement about the present and optimism for the future.
Our forebears have handed down our musical heritage and we need to introduce our children and peers to the wonder of this musical world - in all its areas, including composition, research, history as well as performance.
Opening the world to the excitement of music.
At the Academy, we want to open the world of excitement that we feel for music to the students who pass through our doors.
We have watched many students come through our academy and many have taken their music into their adult life as a cherished hobby.
Others have gone on to play professionally, and or now have great teaching careers in schools and privately."
